Deaf Rochester News has been in circulation since 1996 and publishes every two months. The newsmagazine consists of Deaf and Hard of Hearing related news, announcements of social events, and columns by Deaf and Hard of Hearing writers. There is also a section for sign language interpreters. The primary readers of Deaf Rochester News are Deaf and Hard of Hearing people, their families, those who work with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population. The Rochester community alone has over 50,000 individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. The publication is distributed throughout Monroe County via individual subscribers, newsstands in Barnes and Noble and the Rochester Institute of Technology bookstores. Deaf Rochester News has subscribers in over 35 States and Canada. Approximately 10,000 individuals read the Deaf Rochester News. Advertising There are two types of advertisements available: print ads in the newsmagazine, and banners on the Deaf Rochester News website. There are discounts available to nonprofit organizations who wish to advertise with us, and to those who wish to advertise in more than one issue. Artwork and the advertising contract are due one month prior to the publication. Web advertisements follow the same timelines as print advertisements and are changed every two months when a new issue of Deaf Rochester News is released.
